Al-Wasiyyat

جو لوگ اس الٰہی انتظام پر اطلاع پا کر بلا توقف اس فکر میں پڑتے ہیں کہ دسواں حصہ کل جائداد کا خدا کی راہ میں دیں بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ اپنا جوش دکھلاتے ہیں وہ اپنی ایمانداری پر مہر لگا دیتے ہیں۔

"Those who, having been informed of this Divine scheme (Al-Wasiyyat), become anxious, immediately and without hesitation, to subscribe one tenth of their property in the way of Allah—nay, they even show greater fervour—set the seal on their faithfulness."

— The Will

بہتیرے ایسے ہیں کہ وہ دنیا سے محبت کر کے میرے حکم کو ٹال دیں گے مگر بہت جلد دنیا سے جدا کیے جائیں گے تب آخری وقت میں کہیں گے هٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ ۔

"There are many many who, for their love of the world, shall evade my command but shall soon be taken away from this world—then at the last hour they shall exclaim: ‘This is what the Gracious God had promised, and the Messengers spoke the truth’ [Surah Yasin 36:53]"

— The Will

ہم خود محسوس کرتے ہیں کہ اس وقت کے امتحان سے بھی اعلیٰ درجہ کے مخلص جنہوں نے در حقیقت دین کو دنیا پر مقدم کیا بے دوسرے لوگوں سے ممتاز ہو جائیں گے۔ اور ثابت ہو جائے گا کہ بیعت کا اقرار انہوں نے سچا کر کے دکھلا دیا اور اپنا صدق ظاہر کر دیا۔

"I feel that in present day trials too the faithful ones of the highest order who have in fact given precedence to faith over worldliness will stand distinguished from others. It will be proven that they have fulfilled the pledge of bai'at with truthfulness and demonstrated the genuineness of their sincerity."

— The Will

اور میں سچ سچ کہتا ہوں کہ وہ زمانہ قریب ہے کہ ایک منافق جس نے دنیا سے محبت کر کے اس حکم کو ٹال دیا ہے وہ عذاب کے وقت آہ مار کر کہے گا کہ کاش میں تمام جائیداد کیا منقولہ اور کیا غیر منقولہ خدا کی راہ میں دے دیتا اور اس عذاب سے بچ جاتا۔ یاد رکھو!! کہ اس عذاب کےمعائنہ کے بعد ایمان بے سُود ہوگا اور صدقہ خیرات محض عبث۔

"And truly and sincerely do I say that the time is near when a hypocrite who out of his love for this world, has evaded this commandment, will at the time of chastisement let out an anguished cry and say, ‘Would that I had given all that I possessed—all my movable and immovable possessions—in the way of God and escaped this chastisement. Remember, after witnessing this punishment faith will be of no avail and alms and charity will be in vain."

— The Will

اگر کوئی تم میں سے خدا سے محبت کر کے اس کی راہ میں مال خرچ کرے گا۔ تو میں یقین رکھتا ہوں، کہ اس کے مال میں بھی دوسروں کی نسبت زیادہ برکت دی جائے گی۔ کیونکہ مال خود بخود نہیں آتا۔ بلکہ خدا کے ارادہ سے آتا ہے۔ پس جو شخص خدا کیلئے بعض حصہ مال کا چھوڑتا ہے۔ وہ ضرور اُسے پائے گا۔

"If any among you loves God and spends wealth in His way, I am certain that his wealth will be blessed more than that of others. For wealth does not come on its own, but by the will of God. So whoever gives up a portion of his wealth for God's sake will surely receive it back."

لیکن جو شخص مال سے محبت کر کے خدا کی راہ میں وہ خدمت بجا نہیں لاتا جو بجا لانی چاہیئے۔ تو وہ ضرور اس مال کو کھوئے گا۔ یہ مت خیال کرو کہ مال تمھاری کوشش سے آتا ہے بلکہ خدا تعالیٰ کی طرف سے آتا ہے۔ اور یہ مت خیال کرو کہ تم کوئی حصہ مال کا دے کر یا کسی اور رنگ سے کوئی خدمت بجا لا کر خدا تعالیٰ اور اس کے فرستادہ پر کچھ احسان کرتے ہو، بلکہ یہ اس کا احسان ہے کہ تمھیں اس خدمت کیلئے بلاتا ہے"

"But whoever loves wealth and does not render in God's way the service that ought to be rendered will surely lose that wealth. Do not think that wealth comes through your own effort — rather, it comes from God the Exalted. And do not think that by giving a portion of your wealth, or by rendering some service in any other manner, you are doing a favor to God the Exalted and His messenger; rather, it is His favor upon you that He calls you to this service."
